To every competitor, vendor, judge, sponsor, content creator, volunteer, and supporter who invested their time, energy, and talent into the inaugural World Class Barber & Beauty Battle—we are incredibly grateful.
The feedback from this event has been overwhelming in the best way possible, and we believe everyone involved should have a sense of pride in what we accomplished together.
This wasn't just a barber competition. It was a celebration of Sacramento barber culture and the Sacramento beauty industry.
One battle. Two shops. Multiple barber and beauty categories. A diverse community of licensed Sacramento barber and beauty professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and artists coming together with creativity, respect, and love for the industry — proudly representing Black-owned barbershops and beauty salons in Sacramento.
We welcomed guests from Sacramento, the Bay Area, Fresno, Reno, and surrounding communities. Throughout the day there was an undeniable sense of unity that reminded us just how powerful our industry can be when we come together with a common purpose.
The competitions showcased incredible talent across multiple divisions, while our vendors, sponsors, judges, and content creators helped create an experience that exceeded anything we imagined for our very first event.
More than trophies were awarded that day.
Relationships were built.
Businesses connected.
Students found inspiration.
Professionals supported one another.
The community witnessed what barbering and beauty culture truly looks like when everyone comes together under one roof.
As organizers, one of the most rewarding moments wasn't announcing the winners—it was hearing attendee after attendee tell us they couldn't wait for the next one.
That excitement confirmed something we've believed from the beginning: this event is bigger than a barber battle. It is a platform that celebrates excellence, barber education, beauty education, entrepreneurship, creativity, and the barber and beauty community while raising funds to invest back into our team through travel, continuing education, and industry experiences.
What began as a vision became something truly special, and it gave our entire team the confidence to dream even bigger.
The inaugural World Class Barber & Beauty Battle exceeded every expectation.
And this is only the beginning.
We're already preparing for the next chapter, and we look forward to continuing to elevate the Sacramento barbershop and Sacramento beauty salon community while bringing our barber and beauty community together for many years to come.
